A performance by Quyen Van Minh, one of Vietnam's most well known jazz saxophonists, and his friends will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on January 10.

Minh, whose father is an amateur guitarist and saxophonist and mother a singer, is one of the first artists to perform and teach jazz in Vietnam.

People's Artist Quang Tho and contemporary folk singer Tung Duong will join the "Quyen Van Minh and friends" performance.

Their performance, which is organised to remember Quoc Truong, a trumpet artist and member of the Song Hong (Red River) band who died in 2010, will enchant Hanoi jazz-lovers with international, classic jazz songs and romantic Vietnamese melodies.
