The Windsor Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City on July 28 showed students from the Saigon Children's Charity around the hotel to see the workings of the hospitality industry up close and meet managerial, kitchen and other hotel staff.
Before inspecting the guest rooms, restaurants and other facilities of the hotel, the students listened to Stephen Warren talk about career opportunities in the industry.
After their tour of the hotel came a cooking demonstration by the Windsor Plaza's executive chef where the students tasted and helped prepare dishes, and talked with the kitchen maestro about his profession.
To conclude their fact-finding mission, the students spoke with the human resources department and learned about office, maintenance and customer service careers in the hotel trade.
The Saigon Children's Charity is a long-standing organization that helps underprivileged kids escape poverty through education and training.
