Regional film body to discuss Vietnam's development potential

Vietnam is attending the Asian Film Commission Network (AFCNet)'s Asian Film Policy Forum in Busan, Korea.


The four-day (Oct 10-13) event, called "Let us lead it together," will discuss the network members' policies and strategies in the movie industry and find ways more to forge more effective cooperation in the future.


According to Do Duy Anh, head of the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Vietnam has not yet officially joined the network which has 44 organizations from 16 countries.


The network members, however, will discuss Vietnam's policies and the development potential of its movie industry.


AFCNet expects Vietnam to become its 17th member. Its current members include the US, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
