The police can be fun. It is what people in Ho Chi Minh City learned from the 20th World Police Band Concert held in the southern metro last weekend.
Police bands from New York, Osaka, Tokyo, Singapore, and Vietnam joined a parade along downtown Ho Chi Minh City Saturday morning to strengthen relations between police communities around the world.
It is for the second time Vietnam hosted the event after doing so in Hanoi in 2011.
First organised by Japan’s Mainichi newspaper in collaboration with the local police in 1996, the World Police Band Concert has since been held in several major cities around the world.
