The ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam Province has been for the third time chosen to host the International Choir Competition organized by Germany’s Interkultur Foundation.
The fourth International Choir Competition will take place from April 29 to May 2 with the participation of more than 1,500 artists of 45 choirs from 15 countries and territory – Australia, Finland, Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The main venue of the competition will be Hoi An Beach Resort. There will be street music performances in the ancient town on April 30 and May 1.
The choir from MPU School of Music in Ho Chi Minh City will for the first time represent Vietnam at the competition.
Interkultur organized the first and third competitions in Hoi An in 2011 and 2013.
