A two-day photo exhibition about single disabled women opened Thursday in Hanoi, online newspaper Dan Tri reported.
The exhibition titled "Xuong Rong Van No Hoa" (Cactus Blooming) displayed more than 20 photos taken by both amateur and professional photographers in Hanoi.
The photos reveal the hard lives of disabled single women who overcome their plight with their strong willpower. Each photo tells the true story of a woman in real life.
It is the first event in a larger program of the same name jointly initiated by the Center of Women and Development (CWD) and the Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC).
The project aims to raise funds to support single mothers with disabilities and their children.
