A solo painting exhibition by artist Nguyen Tuan Khanh (aka Rung) opened on September 23 at Tu Do Gallery in Ho Chi Minh City, reported the newswire Dan Tri newspaper Sunday.
Entitled "Eva Eternal Springs", the exhibition features ten oil and acrylic paintings on paper, highlighting the mythical Eve, a character in the Bible.
In the Bibile, she is the first woman and mother of humankind.
She represents the "eternal source, eternal spring," according to the artist.
The 71-year-old Rung was born in Cambodia in 1941 and currently lives in southern California, US. He is a full-time artist-painter, and also a writer and poet, who graduated from the Fine Art College in Hue in 1964, and is member of both Fine Art Association of Ho Chi Minh City and the city's Writer Association.
Prior to "Eva Eternal Springs", the painter had several solo and group exhibitions in both Vietnam and foreign countries, including the US, Germany, and Canada.
The exhibition will run until October 6 at 53 Ho Tung Mau Street, District 1, HCMC.
