Oxfam launches anti-poverty photo contest

A photo contest held to suport anti-starvation campaigns around the world looks to highlight the globe's unique cultures.

The photos must be of a meal and its owner, and should depict the cultural dinette, specific customs and conditions of each region.

The contest is part of a global campaign called GROW initiated by Oxfam, an international confederation of 15 organizations working together in 98 countries and with partners and allies around the world to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice, according to its website http://www.oxfam.org/.

The contest will accets single photos attached with a caption not longer than 200 words about the meal's owner.

Applicants can send more than one photo, but the photos cannot be not over-adjusted.

The photo contest is divided into two periods, Sep 9 Oct 10 and Oct 11 Nov 11, 2011.
