Classical music concerts are back outdoors in Hanoi.

A series of outdoor classical music concerts -- the LUALA Fall-Winter Concert -- will be held in Hanoi from November 10 to December 9.

After the LUALA Concert themed "Blues, Jazz, and experimental music" last summer, the upcoming event will "set a warm atmosphere for audiences to indulge themselves in the symphony music of Bach, Mozart, Schubert"¦ ," said a statement on the event's website.

The event will take place outside 61 Ly Thai To Street, just as it did earlier this year.

From 3-5 p.m. every Saturday, there will be solo performances featuring well-known Vietnamese musicians including violinist Chau Son, cellist Tran Thi mo, and pianist Tan Ngoc.

From 10-12 a.m. every Sunday, three string quartets from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the Vietnam Opera Ballet Theater, and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform on the street.

From 3-5 p.m. every Sunday, Hanoians will have the chance to enjoy performances by singers in addition to classical pieces by string and brass orchestras.

Vietnam's top three divas -- Hong Nhung, My Linh, and Thanh Lam -- will be part of the event for the first time, singing renowned songs such as "I'd Give My Life for You" (from the musical Miss Saigon), Huong xua (The Scent of the Old Days), and Nguoi Ha Noi (The Hanoians).

Tien Phong quoted Do Ngoc Minh, representative of the organizer, as saying he hoped that the concerts would be held in more places in the future.
