Online short film festival screens entries from neighboring nations

The second season of online short film festival YxineFF shows it has established itself as a credible venue for independent young filmmakers.

The number of entries have increased both in quality and quantity, experts say. 

Freelance director and movie reviewer Phan Xi Ne, member of the selection board that viewed all the entries, said there were many interesting films that were submitted this time. 

Of these, YxineFF is presenting 23 each in the Competition and Overview categories and 76 in Close-up category.

A highlight of this season is the screening of many films from the Southeast Asian region. There are 7 from Cambodia, 4 from Indonesia, 5 from Laos, 6 from Philippines, 4 from Singapore and 3 from Thailand.

The main theme of this season is Niem tin (Belief).  

The movies are screened online at everyday at 7 p.m. from September 30 until it ends on December 31
