Installation works "˜Nưá»›c và thời gian trôi Ä‘i' (Water and the Passing of Time) by sculptor Dao Chau Hai created at an art camp at the Muong Ethnic Group Cultural Space Museum last year.

Artists from Vietnam and 13 other countries will gather for a "camp" at a private museum in the northern province of Hoa Binh in October, The Thao & Van Hoa newspaper reported.

The 80 painters and sculptors will create new works at the Muong Ethnic Group Cultural Space Museum, which will later be exhibited at the museum, Trung Nguyen coffee shops, and the University of Culture in Hanoi, the newspaper said.

Preparations for the Muong Land 2 International Arts Camp held under the aegis of Asia Arts Link are under way with materials for paintings and sculptures and money being raised by Hieu, local artists, volunteers, locals, and Muong ethnic people, according to the newspaper.

Muong Studio, a part of the museum, held a camp last September that attracted 31 painters and sculptors from around the country. It has also organized several workshops.

Artist Vu Duc Hieu, a graduate of the Hanoi University of Fine Arts, opened the 40,000-sq-m museum in 2007.

Asia Art Link is an ongoing artists' initiative envisioned as a platform for artists from the Asia Pacific region to interact and develop common grounds for dialogue and development of contemporary art.
