Vietnamese pop singer My Linh is among 17 new tourism ambassadors from other countries appointed by South Korea.

An accreditation ceremony for the appointment was held July 26 by the Korea Embassy in Hanoi.

Starting next month, the 36-year-old singer will take part in events organized by the Korea Tourism Organization to encourage votes for Vietnam's Ha Long Bay and South Korea's Jeju Island to be listed among the Seven New Natural Wonders of the World.

My Linh will join 16 ambassadors from Japan, Germany, France, Singapore, Thailand and other nations in the four-month long tourism promotion campaign that will end in November.
