Music video awards choose best of 2011

Singers Hong Nhung and My Tam came out the big winners at the 2011 Vietnamese music video awards night on January 15, each claiming two awards.

Twenty-four music videos of as many singers were nominated for the awards in an event that was co-organized by the Vietnam Television and MTV Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, and broascast live on the Vietnam MTV channel.

Two music videos, "Waking up at sunrise" by singer My Tam and "Trouble" by rapper Karik won the audience' favorite awards.

My Tam also won "The best female vocalist" prize, while singer Dam Vinh Hung won took the honors for men.

The Little Monster, a new rock band won the prize for best band; and singer Hong Nhung took the best audio and images award with the video "The Circle."

The "digital mobile" prize for best music video loaded on to  telecommunications network was won by music video "Give me one love," by singer Dong Nhi. The "digital online" prize was won by "Love song of the night" by singer Dam Vinh Hung.
