After the record-breaking "White Party," first held in 2008, Dam Vinh Hung will perform his second show with the same name next month.

The "White Party" 2 called Vu khuc mua dong (The winter dance) will be held on December 3 in Ho Chi Minh City and December 31 in Hanoi. The backers are putting "much more than the first show" into Hung's second big performance.

So will the audience. The exorbitant ticket prices, ranging from VND2 million to VND4 million, have amazed the public. The income from Hung's music party is promised to be higher if any backer wants to contribute directly to his foundation.

Hung said guest artists will be honorably welcomed and feel pleasantly lost in the winter wonderland set, which includes a snow castle and a white royal garden resembling the European Christmas.

The guest performers will also have a chance to present their dancing skills at the ball, which is being touted as the biggest one ever with several noted local artists.

Hung plans to auction a violet 60-carat-gemstone at the end of the concert.

Money raised from the auction will go to support Hung's private charity fund named "Mr. Dam" (his nickname) to help unprivileged and abandoned children, particularly in remote areas of Vietnam.

Hung says that 20 percent of his performance income in 2011 will be donated to charitable activities.

In 2008, the "White Party" took many national records like the "most number of songs performed" (54 songs), and "longest playing band" (five hours).
