The movie that specifically celebrates Hanoi's 1,000th anniversary, Khat vong Thang Long (Thang Long's aspiration) will be completed by September 30, its producers have announced.
The 120-minute film portrays the childhood of King Ly Thai To (974-1028), who founded the Ly Dynasty (1009-1225), until he moved the country's capital from Hoa Lu in the northern province of Ninh Binh to Thang Long, now Hanoi, in 1010, said production manager Le Minh Tam.
The film, produced by the Ky Nguyen Sang Company, is directed by Luu Trong Ninh. Charlie Nguyen has written the script and Johnny Tri Nguyen has served as its martial arts director, Tam said. Korean experts have been in charge of visual effects, she added.
Other details about the film, including its budget, have not been disclosed.
