A scene of "Same Same"

A hybrid of traditional dance and hip hop performed by international dance company Stylistik will hit Hanoi October 30, Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

"Same Same," performed by African-French Abdou N' gom and Laotian Ounla Pha Oudom, aims to explore how all people are both different and the same, on the inside and the outside.

The event will take place at 8 pm at French Culture Center L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

Tickets, priced VND60,000-120,000 (around US$3-6) have been available at the same venue since September 30.

"Same Same" will also play in Laos' capital of Vientiane and the north-central Laotian city of Luang Prabang on October 24 and 27, respectively.

Stylistik was established by two hip hop dancers and dance choreographers Clarisse Veaux and Abdou N' gom in 2006. The company has combined hip hop and other art forms to create what it called "offer new meaningful dance gestures."

Some of its dances include "Vis-à-vis" and "Entre deux" (In Between).
