Miss Vietnam World finale proceeds to go to charity

Organizers of Miss Vietnam World 2010 have said they will donate to charity all ticket sale proceeds from the contest's final night , the VOVNews said Thursday.

The finale will be held between 16-20 contestants on August 21 at Vinpearl Land in the central coastal town of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province.

Individuals and organizations are going to bid for the right to wear the crown for the winner and the bidding money will also go to charity.

The contest is organized by the Khanh Hoa People's Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese, and Vinpearl Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company.

Vietnamese women in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (Sodruzhestvo Nezavisimykh Gosudarstv) will attend the first round in London and the semi-final in Moscow from Sunday to July 12.

Contestants in Vietnam will compete from July 1-12 in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, and Tuyen Quang in the north.

Vinpearl Land also hosted the first and previous edition of the pageant in 2007.
