Miss Vietnam runner-up to compete for Miss Asia Pacific 2011

Vu Hoang My, the first runner-up at the Miss Vietnam 2010 beauty pageant has been nominated to represent Vietnam at the Miss Asia Pacific International 2011 pageant, according to a representative from the Elite Company.

Pending approval from the Department of Performing Arts, My, 23, will travel to Seoul to compete in the final round of the Miss Asia Pacific International on June 11.

My is currently studying at RMIT University in Vietnam.

The beauty contest has been postponed since 2005, when the competition was held in China.

This year, the upcoming 37th competition, organized by the Asia Pacific Elite Corporation, will attract 76 beauties from 76 countries and territories from around the world.

The three top finalists will sign contracts with Asia Pacific Elite to be trained as professional models and officially represent the corporation.
