Cinema lovers in Hanoi are in for a treat.
A screening of award-winning German documentary "Rhythm is it!" at Goethe Institute, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Hanoi, on April 28, 8 p.m., will be followed by a discussion and chance to meet the co-director of the film, Enrique Sanchez Lansch.
Enrique Sanchez Lansch, 48, grew up in Spain and Germany. He started working as assistant film director when he was at university. He has written and directed both numerous fiction and documentary films.
The 2004 documentary follows the journey of 250 young immigrants as they step into the world of classical music and dance. After months of arduous rehearsals, they perform to Stravinsky's "Le sacre du Printemps" (The Rite of Spring) in Berlin.
The 100-minute theatrical film has won the German Critics Award, the Bavarian Film Award and the German Film Award.
