A documentary film featuring the life of a Vietnamese martial arts master will screen at an international sport film festival in Italy this October.
Doi vo (Martial arts life) tells the story about 81-year-old Master Ngo Bong, who is honored for his efforts to preserve and develop one of the traditional martial arts of Hung Ke Quyen. The style reproduces the movements of fighting cocks.
The biography, produced by the central province of Quang Ngai's Radio and Television Company, won first prize at an international sports and tourism film festival held by the Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (FICTS) in the central city of Da Nang last month.
Another documentary featuring Vietnamese martial art Vovinam will also join the six-day international event, known as Sport Movies & TV 2010 The 28th Milano International FICTS Fest, in Milan beginning on October 28.
