Singer Ho Quynh Huong has been honored as the Asian Artist of the Year in Vietnam at the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), one of the biggest events on the K-pop calendar.
Huong is the third Vietnamese singer to be awarded at the event, after My Tam in 2012 and Thu Minh in 2013.
“I will work hard to contribute more towards Vietnamese and Asian music,” said Huong in a clip shared on the MAMA’s website.

The event was held in Hong Kong on Thursday, where thousands of screaming fans were treated to sexy dance acts and vocal performances, including two numbers by American singer John Legend.
Legend shared the stage with Hong Kong star Eason Chan as well as K-pop songstress Ailee, girl band SISTAR and boy group EXO, among others.
