Seven Vietnamese classical artists are touring the US for the first time thanks to an invitation from Brigham Young University, The Thao & Van Hoa newspaper reported.
The Go Group's US tour began November 2, featuring the Go Group Hanoi which was founded last year with four percussionists, Phan Nam, Nghiem Manh Tuan, Bui Anh Dung, Tran Xuan Hoa.
The quartet who are members of the Vietnam National Opera Ballet together with other Vietnamese artists, including singer Huyen Nga, and trumpeter Minh Quy, will present Vietnamese and international works.
The Vietnamese compositions include Rhapsody Vietnam by Do Hong Quan, Bai ca chim ung (Falcon song) of Dam Linh, Pizzicato Vietnam. Musique de Table by Thierry De Mey is among four international works.
The first concert took place in Rexburg City and the remaining will be held at two other cities in Utah and Idaho.
