L'Espace Hanoi to screen Vietnamese film 'The little heart'

L'Espace in Hanoi will screen "Trai Tim Be Bong" (The Little Heart), a 2007 film by famous Vietnamese film director Nguyen Thanh Van, on August 19 with French subtitles.

Starring Do Nguyen Lan Ha, Kim Hanh and Hong Anh, the film tells the story of  Mai, a 16-year-old girl from the countryside who comes to the city to find a job.

Unfortunately she is tricked and forced to work as a prostitute there. Mai tries to escape but fails. She has to keep this a secret from her family.

In her native village, Minh, her younger sister, wishes to chase her dreams in the city as well. When Mai learns she is HIV positive, she decides to return home and prevent her sister from being tricked like her. Just as she reaches the village, she sees her sister leave on a city-bound bus.

Tickets (VND10,000-VND20,000) are on sale at L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street.
