A concert entitled “Time & Space in Harmony” will take place in Ho Chi Minh City this Friday to celebrate the ASEAN-KOREA Commemorative Summit to be held on December 11-12, 2014 in Busan, Korea.
Co-hosted by the Korea Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Hanoi, the music event will feature a slice of Korean traditional music, which is innovative and experimental, through the specific performance of GongMyoung.
The art troupe, founded in 1997, has been known for their re-interpretation of classical Korean music in a modern way. The most inspiring drumming collective and their uplifting performances have been praised for the combination of various kinds of music genres and sounds.
The group has performed in numerous international art and music festival and diplomatic events before reaching Vietnamese music lovers.
GongMyoung captivated Hanoi’s audiences with a show on December 9 before moving to Ho Chi Minh City for a performance at Ben Thanh Theater on December 12.
Tickets for the show in the southern metro can be registered by sending email to tranthucuc@karts.ac.kr. Successful registrants later can get tickets at Ben Thanh Theater, 6 Mac Dinh Chi Street, District 1 before show time.
