Famous K-pop boyband 2A.M and singer Lee Hyun wowed fans with their performances at Hanoi's My Dinh Stadium last weekend.

Themed "The TAL with 2A.M", the show opened with an instrumental musical "The Mask", directed by Choi Sori, and performed by TAL, or the Taekwondo Absolute Legend group.

"The Mask" was a combination of melody, percussion rhythms and taekwondo moves. Famous Korean director Choi Sori had said at a press conference in Hanoi that he wanted to create a show that could include many types of arts "for the Vietnamese to know Korea better."

Pham Thi Thanh Huong, director of the joint stock media company V, the organizer of the show, said that it took the company eight months to get the Korean stars to perform in Vietnam.

2A.M is a famous Korean band which has four members: Lee Chang Min, Im Seul Ong, Jo Kwon and Jung Jin Woon. Formed in 2008, the band won the award for "The best new band" at the Digital Music Award and now has around 58 thousand registered fans.

A survey of music experts chose the band as the best Kpop band.

This was the first time 2A.M and Lee Hyun were performing together in Vietnam. Band members said they hoped their music would cross the language barrier and appeal to Vietnamese audiences.

Another famous K-pop boyband, Super Junior, visited Vietnam last May and their show in Binh Duong was a very successful event attended by thousand of fans.
