Korean boy band to perform in HCMC

Big Bang, one of Korea's most popular boy bands will join Soundfest, a music festival organised by Coca Cola and Samsung at Phu Tho stadium in Ho Chi Minh city on April 14.

Big Bang was established in 2006 and by 2009 the group was one of the biggest acts in Korea. Big Bang is the first overseas band to win the Japanese Composers Association's Best New Band prize . Big Bang also won the best international artist prize at the European MTV awards in 2011.

Well-known Thai singer Tata Young will also play Soundfest this year.

Famous local singers and bands including Buc Tuong (The Wall), Unlimited, Microwave, Pham Anh Khoa and the PAK Band, Phuong Vy, Van Mai Huong, Ha Okie, Thanh Bui, Thao Trang, Tien Dat, and Suboi will also perform at the event.

Soundfest will last for 10 hours with 100 songs, plus dancing performances and other cultural activities such as food tasting, X-games and a make-up festival .
