British soul singer Joss Stone and string quartet BOND will take part in a four-day music festival starting on October 8 in Hanoi.
Stone, 28, a Grammy Award winner, will perform at the Monsoon Music Festival on October 10 while BOND, dubbed “the Spice Girls of classical music,” will take the stage the next day.
Stone rose to fame in 2003, when she was only 15, with her multi-platinum debut album, "The Soul Sessions."
Following the 2004 release of “Mind, Body and Soul” she won the 2005 Brit Awards for Best Female Artist and Best Urban Act.
She won her first Grammy Award in 2007 for Best R&B Performance by Vocal Duo or Group for “Family Affair” with John Legend and Van Hunt.
She has recorded seven studio albums, including her latest, “Water for Your Soul.”
BOND, launched in 2000 by music producer Mike Batt, specializes in classical crossover and synthpop music.
With four members from the UK and Australia, BOND is the biggest-selling string quartet of all time with more than 4 million albums sold.
The Monsoon Music Festival, which will take place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site in Ba Dinh District, also features local famous singers including Le Cat Trong Ly, Pham Anh Khoa and Uyen Linh.
