Japanese, Vietnamese musicians to perform jazz in capital

A jazz concert featuring Japanese musicians and artists from the Vietnam National Symphony and Orchestra will take place at the Worker's Theater (Rap Cong Nhan) in Hanoi February 28.


Under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji, Japanese pianist Yamashita Yosuke will perform a series of compositions alongside Vietnamese musicians like violinist Dao Hai Thanh, drummer Phan Nam, and double Bass Nguyen Quang Trung.


The set will include Glen Miller's "Moonlight Serenade", Billy Strayhorn's "Take the A Train" and "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. "Take the A Train" will be played with the Vietnam National Symphony and Orchestra. The show begins at 8pm.
