Foreign tourists eating at a country fair in Hoi An Town
Japanese TV channel BS12 has chosen Hoi An Town in the central province of Quang Nam as its destination to make a documentary film about Vietnam.
The 60-minute movie, which is set to air this February and March, seeks to present the people, landscapes, tourist destinations and cuisine of Quang Nam Province in particular, and Vietnam in general, to the Japanese public.
The nine-person film crew will focus on crafting scenes within Hoi An Town's ancient streets, its traditional club-houses, trade villages and traditional dishes.
BS12 is one of the most popular TV stations in Japan, which specializes in promoting tourism and exploring famous nature spots worldwide.
Hoi An Town was recognized by UNESCO in 1999 as one a World Cultural Heritage.
