Contemporary art works by 11 Japanese artists depicting their take on the state of the world on today will be displayed in Ho Chi Minh City on June 12.
The "Passage to the Future: Art from a New Generation in Japan" will display 42 works including paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, and videos.
The artists take their subject matter from their immediate surroundings and make art that strongly reflects their own personal realities, says a statement released by the Consulate General of Japan.
The exhibition, organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, will remain open to the public until June 21 at the HCMC Labor Culture Palace, 55B Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1.
The exhibition, which was held last month in Hanoi, will be later shown in the central town of Hue at a later date.
