A Japanese couple will exhibit their mural paintings in Hanoi on Saturday as part of celebrations of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Year.

"Abilight" from Abi[lity] and Light will feature the first-ever works by Hitotzuki, formed in 1999 by Sasu and her husband Kami, based on street culture, and seek to spread the message that people need to look forward.

The couple has been holding many exhibitions around Japan and in the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

The Hanoi exhibition will also feature a number of products designed by the artists like T-shirts, bags, caps, skateboards, watches, and mugs.

Entrance is free to the event to be held at the Japan Foundation for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, 27 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District.

It will start at 3 p.m. with a dance by Vietnamese artists from the local Youth Theater. They will perform in front of the mural paintings wearing blue to match the color of the paintings.
