Int'l music festival in Hanoi for UNESCO event

An international music festival will take place in Hanoi on August 19, as part of the 8th World Congress of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations, being held for the first time in Vietnam on August 18-22.

The event will feature top Vietnamese singers and foreign artists, including Jim Morray from the UK, Marina Blumin from Israel, two ballet dancers from Russia, Indian folk dancers, and a trio band from the Philippines.

The festival, organized by Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, starts Friday at 8 p.m. at Thien Duong Bao Son Park to celebrate the August Revolution and National Day.

Around 10,000 people are expected to come to the event.
