A Hawaii-born musician is heading to the hotel InterContinental Asiana Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City.
Heather Jakeman will play every Tuesday to Saturday from 8 p.m. until late at the hotel's Purple Jade bar starting this month.
Jakeman has been singing for three years for the United Services Organizations (USO), a non-profit US-governed organization that provides recreation-type services to US military Personnel.
She then worked with Mario Celia Jazz Band in Italy, where she also performed with the Borgo Natio Jazz Band and in the Italian Opera Suor Angelica. She also sang at the Miss Italy pageant.
Jakeman has performed alongside Wayne Newton, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Miss America, and Diamond Rio. She was once invited to Washington DC to sing for the first lady.
