Indonesian-influenced French circus comes to Vietnam

An act from the"Here, now and there" circus, which will be performed in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi next week

The French circus "Here, now and there" by the Chabatz d'Entrar Company will be performed in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi next week as part activities marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and Vietnam.

The shows, organized by the French Institute in Vietnam are experiments of various visual art forms, where body language and motion are the starting a point for the journey, according to a press release from the organizer this week.

The program includes object manipulation, acrobatics and live music. It is the result of collaborations between French and Indonesian artists undertaken during their residency in Bandung, the capital of Indonesia's West Java Province.

Tickets are priced from VND80,000-120,000 (50 percent discount for students) and are on sale at the IDECAF. Tel : (08) 38 23 99 68.

The HCMC performance will take place at Ben Thanh Theater, 6 Mac Dinh Chi Street, District 1, at 8 p.m. on June 20.

The Hanoi show is at 8 p.m. on June 22 at the Youth Theater, 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street.
