Designer Nguyen Cong Tri's newest fashion show, "White Impress," will take its models not from the top agencies but from the streets, throwing in the elements of surprise and improvisation to the event.
Nearly 100 designs, all white, by Tri, Truong Thanh Hai and French designer Valerie McKenzie, will be presented on March 28 on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. The exact location of the outdoor show has not been announced, but a portable glass catwalk has been constructed for the affair.
"I hope the new arrangement will help people take a closer look at the women's beauty," said the show's director Long Kan.
A team of experts, including Kan, photographers Pham Hoai Nam and Jundat, and stylists Huong Color and Jason, will scour malls for models in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho for two weeks beginning on March 12.
