Hollywood director to lecture in HCMC

Hollywood filmmaker David Worth will lecture on the art of cinema in Ho Chi Minh City on June 22-24.

An accomplished director, producer, editor and cinematographer with a degree in film from the University of California (UCLA), Worth has worked with such notables as Clint Eastwood and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

He photographed "Bloodsport" and directed "Kickboxer," which became martial arts classics with a combined cost of under five million dollars. The films launched Van Damme's career and racked up astounding tickets sales worldwide.

Currently, Worth is transitioning into academia by teaching at Chapman University, the University of Southern California, UCLA and he has just completed a year at Chapman Singapore.

He has published two textbooks "The Citizen Kane Crash Course in Cinematography" and "Milestone in Cinema... 50 Visionary Directors."
