Winners of the first Dance4life hip hop dance contest will perform on Sunday, May 22, during lunch time at Hard Rock Café in Ho Chi Minh City.

The restaurant, located at Kumho Asiana Plaza, 39 Le Duan Street, is hosting the dancers to raise funds for HIV awareness and in celebration of the café's 40th birthday.

Earnings from contest drawings during the week will also be donated to the Dance4life program in Vietnam.

Involving and empowering young people in 28 countries worldwide, Dance4life, a dynamic international initiative, was established to halt the spread of HIV and to challenge the stigma around people living with HIV and AIDS.

Dance4life Vietnam organized the first hip hop contest in Vietnam between March and May 2011 in cooperation with the famous local dance group Big Toe Crew. The contest was aimed at raising awareness of HIV and AIDS in Vietnam while giving high school students the ability to express themselves through dancing.

With the philosophy of using emotional power of dance to inspire, educate and mobilize young people, Dance4life reaches around 6,400 students in Vietnam with its HIV school prevention program.
