"The Art of Himalayan culture" exhibition will take place in Hanoi from December 1 to 4.
This exhibition boasts more than 80 typical art works from Himalayan culture, such as Buddhist statues inlaid with copper, trimmed with gold and gemstones; sacred mascots in Buddhist art including Thangka (embroidered, sewn or woven silk); Mandala (the mosaic copper, gold cubes - the symbol of the end of suffering and enlightenment); mural painting; air methods; and instruments.
These precious art works have been created by leading artists from Nepal.
Himalayan art is mainly expressed through the spiritual themes of the Vajrayana tradition. These works, especially in terms of shape, inspire peace and pure serenity.
The Art of Himalaya culture exhibition will take place at 83 Xuan Dieu street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi.
