HCMC to host book fest during Tet

Ho Chi Minh City will host its first-ever Book Festival from January 31 to February 3 to celebrate the New Year of the Cat, according to the city's Department of Information and Communications.

Visitors will have the opportunity to peruse a wide range of books along Mac Thi Buoi Street, not far from the city's famed Nguyen Hue "flower street" in District 1.

Exhibitions featuring new and bestselling books, calligraphy demonstration, and Q&A session with the authors will also be organized as well as a special display dedicated to children's books.

The organizers include local publishing houses, book distribution companies and private bookstores.

Festival-goers will have a chance to buy antique, valuable and rare books.
