The animation festival "Ngay hoi vui he cung But chi" (A Summer Holiday With Pencils) will take place on June 3 at the Children's House of Ho Chi Minh City to mark International Children's Day.
The event is held by Dien Quan Media Company, which opened the Hi Pencil Studio for animated films on June 1.
The festival includes a mini movie theater for the screening of Vietnam's first stop motion cartoon Xin chao But Chi (Hi Pencil), the first series produced by the studio, and several booths of games, toys, food and souvenir.
Each 5-7-minute episode of Xin chao But Chi, which will be broadcast on HTV 7 at 6: 20 p.m. every Monday and Thursday beginning June 2, is a story about But Chi and the three But Muc (pen) brothers.
The festival will be held from 9a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 169 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 3, HCMC. Entrance is free.
