Ho Chi Minh City's Tiny Monster -- Vietnamese rock's first "supergroup", famous for it's blend of pop, rock, traditional folk and electronic ambience -- plays Hanoi tonight (February 18) for the first time.
According to a press release from promoter Hanoi Rock City, Tiny Monster became something of a phenomenon in late 2011 as members of famous local bands like Gat Tan Day, Microwave and Little Wings "re-emerged from the shadows to form a mellow super band.
"Moving forward from their animated indie pop rock pasts, Tiny Monster are writing lyrically mature music that sounds delightfully delicate, calm and composed," the release says.
After an impressive performance Rock Storm, one of Vietnam's premiere rock music events, the HCMC-based released their acclaimed, 12 track debut album "Đường Về" (The Way Home) last year.
Tiny Monster will be supported by Nu Voltage as the opening act at the upcoming Hanoi show.
The event will take place at 9 p.m. at 27/52 To Ngoc Van Street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi.
Tickets, priced at VND100 000, are available at Hanoi Rock City.
