Eight Japanese films will be screened in Ho Chi Minh City from October 8 to 14.
The Japanese Film Week will feature "Happy Flight", "Rashomon", "Tony Takitani", "Kamikaze Girls", "Sansho the Bailiff", "Five centimeters per second", "Memories of Tomorrow" and "Yunagi city, Sakura country".
The films will be screened with Vietnamese voiceovers and English subtitles at BHD Star Cinema on the fourth floor of Maximark supermarket, 3-3C, 3 Thang 2 Street, District 10. Free tickets for the program are available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Japanese General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City at 13- 17 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1.
The eight films will be aired later in central Khanh Hoa Province's Nha Trang from October 22 to 24 at the Hoang Hoa Tham Cinema , 10 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Loc Tho Ward.
The Japanese film weeks, co-organized by the Japanese General Consulate and the Japan Foundation, aim to provide an opportunity for Vietnamese citizens to better understand their Japanese brethren, culture and society, from the traditional to the modern.
