The Vietnam Women's Museum in Hanoi is exhibiting a collection of ao dai a traditional Vietnamese dress to mark Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.
The exhibition, opened on Thursday and running through November, features designer Pham Quoc Tuan's latest ao dai collection, entitled Quoc sac thien huong (Beauty queen, celestial fragrance), including nearly 100 items.
In the last decade, Tuan, 31, has created nearly 3,000 modern dresses that are trendy but at the same time still traditional. He uses both traditional and modern materials and his work has been showcased overseas on a number of occasions.
The Vietnam Women's Museum is located at 36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi. Entry fee is VND30,000.
