Hanoi to host second European-Vietnamese Dance Days

The European-Vietnamese Dance Days will once again be held in Hanoi.

Three contemporary dance productions from Belgium, Germany and Vietnam will be held on September 28 and 29 at the Youth Theater, according to organizers from the Goethe Institute.

The second annual European-Vietnamese Dance Days will also include an artist talk on Sept 30 by choreographers Helena Waldmann (Germany) and Michèle Anne De Mey (Wallonie-Bruxelles).

The dance piece "Lamento," a solo piece from the Belgian choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey set to music from the opera Arianna by Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643).

Choreographed by Helena Waldmann. the German installment, "Get the revolver!" depicts a woman's slow slide toward dementia during the end of her life. 

Vietnam's contribution will be performed by young dancers from the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

The talks will be held in English with Vietnamese simultaneous translation. Invitation tickets are available from 10 am on Sept 24 at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street.
