The JF Garage Concert, "J-CLASSIC for Father's Day", organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will get underway at 8 p.m. in Hanoi in the center's courtyard on June 15.

Violinist Trio Nguyen My Huong, cellist Nguyen Hong Anh and pianist Tran Thai Linh of Hanoi's Vietnam Academy of Music will present masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, and Antonin Dvorak, as well as a variety of classical and popular tunes from Japan, including those by Taki Rentaro and Yokoyama Shin-itchiro.

As members of Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra and the Asian Youth Orchestra, each member of the trio has been highly acclaimed in Vietnam's classical music scene. Formed in 2010, they have been actively conducting concerts with the support of Vietnam's Goethe Institute.

The JF Garage Concert is a series of performances at the garage and courtyard of the Japan Foundation that aims to bring musical diversity to Hanoi through the introduction of Japanese music played by distinguished musicians.

The next concert will be held sometime in autumn and will focus on electronic music.

The outdoor concert will take place at 27 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District.

Admission is free and no registration is required. Tickets are issued on a first come, first served basis.
