An international documentary film week featuring ten Vietnamese and European works will start in Hanoi next Monday, according to a recent press release from the French embassy.
The five-day event will introduce one Vietnamese film and one European film, from Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland or France, that share the same theme every night.
The event will introduce the public to the fast developing field of documentary film in Vietnam and Europe, organizers said in a statement.
The second annual event of its kind, the International Documentary Film Week this year is hosted by Vietnam Documentary and Scientific Film Studio in cooperation with the Italian, Swiss and French embassies as well as the German-owned Goethe Institute and Wallonie Bruxelles Delegation.
Films will be screened at the Vietnamese studio at 465 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Hanoi from 7 p.m. with free admission.
