Hanoi to host Brazilian guitar concert

A solo guitar concert by Fabricio Mattos, one of Brazilian greatest classic guitarists, will be held in Hanoi on June 18.

The show is organized by the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

According to a press release from the embassy, Fabricio Mattos has received honors at more than ten national and international competitions, and was the first Brazilian musician in history to be elected a finalist for the prestigious Alexander Tansman Competition of Musical Personalities in Lodz, Poland.

The guitarist was born in Curitiba, Brazil and studied at Padéia Music School in curitiba.

He launched his first CD, España, in 2007.

The event in the capital starts at 7pm at the academy: 77 Hao Nam Street, O Cho Dua, Dong Da District, Hanoi. Entrance will be free and there is no need to pick up tickets at the embassy.
