Hanoi student in first int'l K-Pop contest

A Hanoi student, winner of the final round of the K-Pop contest in Vietnam, will represent the country at the first International K-Pop Contest to be held in Korea on November 27.

Tran Thi Quynh Mai, student of the Hanoi University of Foreign Trade, won the national edition of the concert, which attracted nearly 500 locals, and of which final night took place in Hanoi on Oct 1.

Mai will compete with contestants from other countries at the contest in Korea, which will be broadcast live to 70 countries and territories on KBS World.

The contest in Vietnam was organized by the Korean Culture Center in Vietnam and Korea's Tourism and Culture Office as well as Yonhapnews Agency.
