Hanoi hotel showcases ‘Le Petit Prince’s Journey’

A Vietnamese edition of French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “Le Petit Prince”. 
The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi will launch an exhibition on “Le Petit Prince” (The Little Prince) on June 1 (International Children’s Day), offering Vietnamese fans a chance to discover one of the most beloved children’s stories of all time.

The month-long exhibition, titled “Le Petit Prince’s Journey,” will feature scans of original manuscript pages produced by the book’s author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, said the hotel in a press release.

On display will also selections of artistic photographs by Vincent Nguyen of locations around the world traveled by Saint-Exupéry, and a rare color film of Saint-Exupéry in Canada in 1942 when he worked on “Le Petit Prince.”

First published in 1943, “Le Petit Prince” is a novel and the most famous work of the French aristocrat, writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Since its first publication, the novel has been adapted to numerous art forms and media, including audio recordings, radio plays, live stage, film screen, television, ballet, and operatic works.

The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is located at 15 Ngo Quyen Street in Hoan Kiem District. The exhibition opening ceremony will be held 5 p.m. at Le Club Bar. All of the imagery associated with the exhibit will be displayed in Le Club Bar and L’Orangerie until June 30.
