The first European Literature Day will be organized in Hanoi on two consecutive days later this month.
Part of the Europe Days (with free entrance) celebration in Vietnam, the first day of event, held at the Goethe Institute on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street on Friday, 27 May, from 6pm to 8pm, will feature literature from Italy and Germany.
The next day, it will held at L'Espace on Trang Tien Street from 8.45 am to 4.30 pm, presenting children's books from France, Belgium and Denmark.
Organizers said the books will be presented by experts who will give an entertaining introduction (in the original language and in Vietnamese).
Several publishing houses will be present their titles at book stalls at the event that is open to the public for free.
